About ImageWorld

ImageWorld, LLC was in formed in 2001 to meet the document management needs of health care providers. Our operations center and administrative offices are located in Herndon, VA. We have trained document specialists experienced in identifying, locating, cataloguing, scanning and shipping files and documents. We have the capacity to image and index over half a million pages per week.

Our experience includes the management and completion of document pulls and imaging our largest client consisted of over 65 sites in seven states during an 18 month period. For that client we activated up to nine mobile stations, equipment and staff, performing document preparation and imaging at customer locations simultaneously. We have developed processes, procedures and techniques that allow for comprehensive collection, preparation, and imaging of documents while maintaining information security and document integrity. We pride ourselves on utilizing proven methods with the flexibility to adapt our procedures to each client and differing facilities within a client's portfolio of operations. Our staff understands that although our work must be done quickly and accurately, that while they are on site the care of our clients and their clients in that facility takes precedence over our questions and needs.

We have developed comprehensive systems for recording custody of all documents. We have taken custody of over 48,000,000 pages of documents and have not lost track of even one page. In many cases the records are returned in better shape than when we obtained them.

All media is inspected for errors before being released. All imaging and indexing is quality checked. All blank images are erased. All images are despeckled, de-skewed and rotated appropriately and rescanned as necessary.

ImageWorld has extensive experience in document scanning and conversion in the health care industry where documents are highly sensitive and subject to stringent handling and accountability based on guidelines and acts of law at organizational and governmental levels.

ImageWorld has available a number of Kodak and Fujitsu scanners capable of scanning monochrome or color at speeds of 18 to 300 pages per minute and resolution up to 600 DPI. Scanning speed is dependent upon scanner model, resolution and color requirements. Document preparation prior to scanning is largely a function of the state of the documents to be scanned. Documents lending themselves to the OCR process can often be batch identified and/or named based upon specific terms within the form and/or recognition of the form itself based on its format. Image processing and conversion would be accomplished on ImageWorld’s servers and over 12 Terabytes of Raid Array storage al connected via a private gigabit Ethernet network.
